Here we are before the morning service...everyone was very excited so getting up at 6:30 was no problem this morning! Even JC was ready to go as this was his first church service. For that we were all a little nervous! btw, doesn't Reese look adorable?

The whole crew sans photographer...Doc looks pretty good with a slew of kids around him. Good lookin' bunch!

A relieved bunch after the service...Reese ended up taking a bottle and falling asleep in Greg's arms and, as for the ministry of music that the family offered, it went great! I requested a DVD copy so anyone can watch us. And after all the nerves, the girls all decided it was fun and we should do it again. Hey! I am game if they are! btw, Jaron made it until halfway through the sermon and then Lauren took him to the nursery. All is good! But, he will be back in the nursery next week.

After the service, we had Dan & Rachelle Altena with their daughters, Kailee and Annika over. Here is Dayle swimming with Kailee because JC was "too busy" to join in the picture fun. Big surprise there! NOT!

He was game to acting silly with Kailee during ice cream sundaes. You can barely see the spoons they have in their mouths unless you look close. Straight from the pool and eating ice cream on a hot Sunday afternoon with a friend...isn't that one of the finer things in life?

One last pic...had to add Reese in her Espy's outfit with her very first babysitter...Julie Dekker. Julie was Brooke's 6th grade teacher and has become a good friend to me as well as our entire family. We played our guitars at GEMS last year and therefore I just couldn't do the baptism song without her. She so willingly strummed along and is really good. (You ARE Julie!) Julie helped us celebrate after baptism by enjoying Doc's famous pulled pork sandwiches and cooling off in the pool with a game of "DUNKIE DUNKIE"...just ask the girls how to play! Anyway, Reese got to bond with Julie last week Friday as we decided to take the boat to Lake Kaweah for an afternoon of wakeboarding and tubing. She just couldn't fit into her life jacket yet! hee hee So this pic will be in the creative memory books as Reese's first babysitter. Cute pic, but of course they are cute girls!
