Lauren's Psalm

Thought I'd include a picture of our most recent house guests...Dave and Nikki Bleeker! That's right! Doc's little brother (maybe I should say younger brother) and his wife flew to California last Saturday. Once here, they got to see B play a soccer game for CVC and eat a yummy steak dinner. We chatted and chatted and Nikki played a lot of board games with Dayle. Then we tucked everyone in to bed before an early Sunday morning breakfast of eggs and bacon. Topped off with a Starbuck's and they were out the door. Seriously! I think we had a record "shortest" visit as they were in Visalia for not even 24 hours. But we were very glad they came!

We are so thankful for Dave and Nikki and their traveling mercies as they drove our truck and boat all the way back to Sioux Center, IA this week. The big move has officially begun and we are starting to see details get set into place. Stay tuned...below is Lauren's Psalm she wrote for a 5th grade writing assignment. We were so thrilled with the outcome and very proud of her creative little ways. She was honored to read it at Thanksgiving Day Chapel yesterday....grab a tissue! This girls got game!

Psalm 257

A psalm of poetry

Praise the Lord for many trees,

And all those tiny little bees.

Praise the Lord for beautiful fountains,

And those huge outnumbered mountains.

Praise the Lord for pretty clouds,

And my little brother...

who is very loud.

Praise the Lord for my house,

And all those who would

like a blouse.

Praise the Lord for

squawky geese,

And my sister, baby Reese!!

Praise the Lord for

providing farms,

And flexible, amazing arms!

Praise the Lord for fences,

And little white benches.

Praise the Lord for white poles,

That are connected to the soccer goal.

Praise the Lord for his powers,

And good smelling flowers.

Praise the Lord for army forts,

And all those many fascinating sports.

Praise the Lord for wet grass,

Also density, volume,

and mass!

Praise the Lord for many stories,

And his forever amazing glory!!
