Snowball 2012 and, yes, we live in IA but there is NO SNOW on the ground! Crazy! It has been in the 60's this week setting records for high temps across the region. We are riding bikes and playing outside everyday with tshirts and sweatshirts on. Awesome!

Last week Friday we headed to Omaha for a dress shopping day. My brother Tom and his wife, Dana, were my secret weapons. We dropped JC, Reese and Dayle off at their home and took off. We had a taxi driver (Dana) to zoom us to all the dress shops (and clearance racks) and the perfect babysitter...FUN UNCLE TOM!! The day was a lot of searching but we did find the TWO dresses we were shopping for including shoes and jewelry. (TWIRP is next month...stay tuned!)
Emma'a mom had set the table so cute...love the feathers!
Doc and his "little" girl. She is now as tall as me and with those shoes on...well...she is taller than her Dad. Thus the 1/2 hug to look shorter...and yes, I do think Doc is up on his toes!
Here is the crew...Kennedy and Taylor (the twins), Emma (the hostess), Megan (the BFF), Paige (the soccer buddy), Sydney (the Freshman) and Brooke (the leggy fawn in the front row). As I wrote last year, Snowball is the dance where the students are told to dress in black and white. We decided this year that charcoal grey also worked...gotta be a little different, right?
Silly faces!!! After all they are still kids, right? Brooke had a great time as she was on the committee which organized, decorated and cleaned up the dance. We saw her around midnight and she was pooped! I expect to wake her up for supper...teenagers! LOL
