We traveled to Minneapolis for the Schwan's Cup with 2-time Champions, the Gateway City Fusion U14 team. Brooke and her teammates were moved up to a higher level of play due to all the previous hardware they had taken home. Therefore, the competition was harder and the Fusion had a "short" weekend. We fought hard but it wasn't meant to be this year. We are proud of the Fusion ladies and look forward to more victories this fall.

In the Schwan's center just hangin' out between games...Doc and Brooke are on the terf watching the others on the bouncy houses and log roll.

Lauren and her teammate, Katie, as they play on the log roll. We wondered why this was at the soccer tournament this year? Don't you think someone could get hurt doing this? That would be the end of soccer for the weekend...hello?

Out of order but all is good! This is actually the last picture I took at the games on Monday but as you can tell, the sideline was nervous. We ended this game in a shoot out and the 4 on the side grabbed hands to watch us WIN and move on to the Championship game. It was really exciting!!

During the game, Lauren really held her own. She was guest playing with the Lightning team who are a year older than she. She even scored twice over the course of the weekend! Way 2 go Spanks!

The Bleeker's celebrating with Lauren and Gateway City Lightning...notice, no Reese!? She was in Iowa with Grandma as we enjoyed 9 soccer games in 3 days! NOW you understand!

Holding the Championship cup!!!

Again, congrats to the GATEWAY CITY LIGHTNING who were the U13 Champions! We were honored to be a part of your "family" for the weekend and look forward to maybe joining you again. It was a great group of parents with a very similar passion....SOCCER!!! All is good!!
