Thanks to her devoted Wednesday night attendance at Sunnybrook church activities, Dayle got to sing on stage at the Orpheum Theatre tonight. She sang in the Kidz Choir with a full band and Jill Miller & Girlfriends. (Interested in who she is? Google it...this post is about my kids, not "famous" people"! haha)
We are in the entry to the Orpheum waiting to get a seat. Take a look behind the tree...that is part of the grand staircase. If you've seen "Gone with the Wind," it looks just like the one in Scarlett's house when she is married to Rhett. The Orpheum in Sioux City is awesome! The other thing to notice: Reese is not in the picture. She stayed home with one of Brooke's friends so we could enjoy our evening closer to the stage than the exit. We enjoyed the evening immensely and I think Reese was happier too!
Most of the kids were in red so Dayle really shone in her blue bedazzled shirt! Just like her eyes!
After intermission, Brooke and Lauren went upstairs to sit in the mezzanine with Lauren's friend Miranda. Here is the best pic of Brooke my camera could get. It was pretty dark and they were pretty far away. It was fun to see them sitting up high. I bet they had a great view too!
This was the encore song and thankfully they turned the house lights up so I could snap a few decent pics. Jill Miller is in the blue top and Dayle is the other blue top on stage. Overall, it was a pretty neat show and the Christmas songs kept everyone entertained. However, after 2 plus hours, JC went home to bed without ice cream. Not because he was naughty but because it was 10:00 and he was tired. He asked to go to bed! We, on the other hand, had to hang out with Reese a little longer as she had had a late nap that afternoon. Kids! Just tryin' to keep us young, right?Merry Christmas to all! And to all a good night!
